General Discussion/Business:

  • Football Equipment Return Dates: Nov. 18th 9am-Noon & Dec. 2nd 10am-Noon.

  • All football helmets need collected by mid-December to send off for reconditioning.

  • Flag & 7U football & cheer trophies received and distributed.

  • Coaches to contact Dayna Lusby for team party money contributed by the club.

  • Football Tunnel to be purchased for 2018 season.

  • Outstanding balances need paid before families can register for next season.

  • Dan’l Pierce suggested a more detailed description be offered for future commissioners and what the club is expecting of board members.

  • Football Commissioner Dan’l Pierce to step down.  Position is vacant and to be advertised/open to all club members.

  • Cheer Commissioner Kim Koteff to step down. Position is vacant and to be advertised/open to all club members.

  • Cheer, new uniforms to be ordered next year.  Similar to football players—participants will purchase their own uniforms.

  • Need storage for cheer mats by mid-December.  Kim Koteff, Natalie Mirtich & Leslie Helwig currently storing mats and uniform bins.

  • Cheer needs representation within SMYAC.  They are currently under no rules or guidelines.  Past years they were regulated by Parks and Rec, but no longer have anyone regulating.  To be presented to SMYAC Board.

  • Lacrosse Registration to open online Dec. 1st.

  • Fred Lynch to put up Lax registration signs on Route 4 prior to Dec. 1st.

  • Same lax uniforms from last year.  Registration options to be adjusted to allow participants to purchase entire uniform, or jersey/shooter shirt and lax shorts separately. Need to figure out price breakdown. 

  • HYC to waive Scoopers lacrosse registration fee this season.

  • Discussed lacrosse field availability and option to rent lower field at Calverton.  Need costs to determine if it’s an option.

  • Need Scoopers lacrosse coaches.  Advertise/open up to all club members.

  • Andre Jones presented Treasurer’s Report.  Homecoming Profits as follows:  Baskets $1908; Bake Sale $262.40; Apparel $2,887.50; Vendors $150; Shout-Outs $175.00.  Club balance reported.

  • Next Fall we will not hold the Fundraiser Blitz.  Our fundraiser hurt HHS’s so we will opt to find another option.

  • Meeting adjourned at 8:25pm
