General Discussion/Business:
Annual Treasurer’s Report Given.
HYC’s Accountant passed away recently. HYC’s account is now being handled by the deceased Accountant’s daughter who has taken over her mother’s accounting business.
Voted to donate $100 to the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Dept.
Shawn Powell in communication with lacrosse head coaches, preparing for the 2019 spring season. Coaches to be announced officially at a later date.
Tara to email/advertise club members looking for anyone interested in coaching lacrosse.
Shawn Powell presented a lacrosse budget for items the club needs to purchase for the upcoming season including: folding tables for each head coach, score board for each head coach, new goals (3), small First Aid Kits for each team, goalie equipment, etc.
New Lacrosse uniforms for 2019. Board voted and choose new uniform tonight, pending a few slight mockup corrections to be done by All Pro.
Lacrosse Practice Fields to be secured in January, looking at PPMS, PPES and CMS.HPP possible home field this year for older teams with U7/U9s home field remaining at Marley Run (to be decided).
Fred Lynch will continue to preside as SMYLA’s President for 2019.
U11 Lacrosse will now operate under “small ball” rules (smaller field). If a club has more than one U11 team, they will split into Chesapeake/Potomac divisions at the SMYLA Tournament depending on seeding.
Cheer mats and uniform storage needs discussed.Dayna Lusby to store mats possibly.
Cheer discussed possible change for Cheer competition going forward.
Working to build new equipment shed at Marley Run Park.
Tara Grim to work on and complete YSP agreement for CCPR.
Football Equipment returns scheduled at PPMS for Jan 12, Jan 19th & Jan 26th (times TBD)
Football uniforms will remain the same for 2019.
Working on Press Box and fixing or replacing Scoreboard at HPP (football field).
May need to order new football helmets.
Old football helmets need reconditioned for 2019.
Dayna Lusby will continue to serve as HYC Treasurer for 2019.
Tara Grim will continue to serve as HYC Secretary for 2019.
