GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING – September 10, 2019

Meeting opened at 8:15pm at HVFD

General Discussion/Business:

  • Shannon Presented Cheer Report.

  • Cheer accessories are in and to be distributed to cheerleaders. 

  • Still waiting on confirmation from CCPR regarding indoor practice space. PPMS and possibly PPES or Mt. Hope.

  • All members in attendance voted on Homecoming theme out of a list that was submitted to board (submissions were open to all members).

  • Theme decided on “CANES PARTY IN THE U.S.A.”

  • Homecoming details discussed.

  • Pep Rally Oct. 11th 6pm-8pm HPP.

  • Team Tent tradition for pep rally along with Homecoming court, performance by cheerleaders and a new surprise.

  • Chose raffle gifts as follows:  1st Prize Laptop; 2nd Prize Air Pods; 3rd Prize $100 Cash; 4th Prize $50 Cash.

  • Dayna to order 8,000 raffle tickets.  Tara and Dayna to sort when they arrive and distribute to Team Moms to handout to their teams. All members must sign for their tickets.

  • Homecoming day, all board members to meet at 8am to set up.  Hoco committee members encouraged to join.

  • Cheerleaders to make run-through banners this year for the football teams. Some squads will need to make more then one to accommodate all football teams.

  • Cheer Bake Sale TBD.

  • Decided against inflatables this year, we always have issue of finding volunteers to supervise them.

  • Parent volunteers will be needed at Raffle Table (3-4 per team the hour prior to their game). Sign-up Genius to be sent out at a later date.

  • No vendors this year due to insurance compliance rules enforced by CCPR.

  • Vivian Abalama interested in Fundraising Coordinator board position.  Presented her ideas to the board how she would like to raise runds.

  • Discussed need to purchase field lights for best long term investment.

  • Meeting adjourned at 9:26 pm
