  • General Discussion/Business:
    • Football/Cheerleading
      • Homecoming is October 23r and most popular theme the Board liked was Tropic Like It’s Hot with a Hawaiian theme.
      • Discussed that there is no Pep Rally the night before our Homecoming weekend due to Covid concerns with approximately 340 members.  The club had two games scheduled for Friday night, but Parks and Rec took our field for a Halloween event.
      • Tara explained that each team puts together a basket to be raffled at the Homecoming game. Each team mom should let Liz Starks know the theme so that we do not have duplicate themes.
      • Throughout the day gift cards will be given out at random from the raffle tickets everyone purchased when they registered their child for football and cheerleading.
      • Flag players do not get the raffle tickets because they do not pay for registration, and there may be some other players who do not get raffle tickets because they did not pay for registration.
      • The Grand Prize for the raffle tickets an Apple Watch, 1st prize is $200, 3rd prize is $150, 4th is $100.
      • Discussed flag game may begin at 8a because the first tackle game is at 9am and the last game played will be at 8:15pm.
      • There is a Sign-Up Genius for volunteers for the raffle table.
      • Discussed that due to Covid and Parks and Rec the cheerleaders are not going to do a bake sale, but they will do a 50/50 raffle.
      • Kona Ice will be there
      • Sean reported that Prince Frederick Eagles has several games there that same day so we need to see if we can use the press box.
      • Sean reported that because of the extension of soccer we ended up with the same homecoming date as HHS
      • Discussed homecoming court that we typically did during the Pep Rally, and everyone agreed that the kids should still vote for homecoming king and queen. The names will be announced during half time at each game.
      • Natalie suggested we could do a spirit week leading up to our homecoming weekend. Katie suggested the cheerleaders could have theme practices for the week before homecoming
      • Discussed that we previously had inflatables at homecoming for the kids but it is expensive. One year we had a photo booth that a mom did and the kids liked it. Discussed we could do tattoos, hair spray, and hand out favors to the kids during the day. We are not going to do face painting due to Covid.
      • Sean reported that he is having portraits done for the 13/14U players for the game
      • Discussed we could do a team tent and vote for the best one.  Shannon suggested we do a spirit competition for the kids and parents, and people post photos on Facebook
      • Sean reported he will get the same guy as in 2019 to take photos of the players during the game.
      • Discussed team photos and Alison Curtis has done it in the past but we have a lot of teams now.  Shannon suggested Amanda could take photos for cheer.  Sean said she can do the photos for cheer, and he has another person that can do the football photos.
      • Sean reported that since the season has started 13 games have had to be rescheduled,
      •  Sean reported that he purchased LED panels for the front field
  • Meeting adjourned at 8:54pm
