General Discussion/Business:
Lacrosse
Lacrosse camps went well
Lacrosse goals need to get moved from the fields and equipment needs to be returned. Tara suggested we have lax equipment returned one of the nights during football equipment handouts.
Football
Sean reported that the next SMYAC meeting is July 21st.
Sean has spoken to seven clubs who prefer to begin games after Labor Day.
Sean reported that it is still hard to get football helmets.
July 20th is cut off for ordering football and cheer gear.
Equipment hand outs will be three dates in July.
Overall football registration is good except for 9U.
The older teams will be on back field at PPMS and the younger ones will practice in the front field.
Sean reported they purchased a light tower and they my still need another one depending on the condition of the one currently on the field.
Discussed getting score board and stands for the football field.
Homecoming will not conflict with HHS and it cannot happen on October 8th as several board members are away
We will have the same DJ as before for homecoming
Cheer
Shannon reported t115 girls are registered for cheer.
Cheer camp is in July and the t-shirt order is out.
New uniforms were also ordered.
They will sell extra bows from previous seasons at camp, and they will order accessories soon.
They only need one HS helper for 7U and two for 8U. If another adult wants to help in place of the high school helper that would be appreciated.
Fundraising:
Spirit Store will open in another week.
Natalie suggested selling a cheer bow key chain, and a cinch bag.
Krispy Crème and popcorn fundraisers were discussed.
Sean reported that we need to get our fundraising out before teams begin their individual fundraisers for the Tennessee tournament, and both football and cheer will fundraise
