 Well, we're glad you asked!

Volunteer! Volunteer! Volunteer!
We are always looking for volunteers.

The HYC organization only exists because of those in the past and present that have offered to volunteer.  Whether its been volunteering as a Coach, a Board Member, a Team Mom or Dad, a Homecoming volunteer or any other type of volunteer it all helps and is greatly appreciated.  Being a 100% volunteer organization there is always room for more people like you.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact HYC Secretary, Shannon Gatens.

What is a Team Parent?

A Team Parent is a mom/dad or anyone that is willing to volunteer their time and work with their childs coach throughout the season with the following items.

1. Organize (or deligates) a list for snack/drinks.  What has worked best in the past is going down the list of names and assigning names.  for example: Game Day August 25th - Brown drinks/snacks, Sept 6th Smith drinks/snack etc.

2. Organize the team basket for Homecoming. Collect $ usually $10-$20 per family or deligate someone to collect money and/or donations to create a Team basket to be auctioned at homecoming. (look under Homecoming on website for past theme ideas).
Then purchase items and make basket.

3. Organize end of year team party.

4. Collect $ for coaches gifts if team agrees.  For example: gifts cards to Outback or a mug with the team picture on it etc.
