 General Discussion/Business:

  • More discussion regarding concerns of changing colors and name.
  • Approx. calculations discussed for actual cost of change
  • Meeting with HHS officials went well and they are on board – boosters were not present at the meeting - hope to meet with them as well.
  • If no change even though votes currently show approval discussion was made what to do to better the club.
  • County is going to try to start football season on Aug. 27th, 2011.
  • Practice can begin August 1st,2011.
  • Discussion on how to obtain a membership vote.
  • Board was asked to revisit the voting criteria.
  • Coaching Applications are being accepted and due by April 12th,2011.
  • Board and membership voting for coaching will hopefully take place prior to registration opening date of May 1st, 2011.
  • Football teams will revert back to the 5lb labels (Flag/PeeWee/75/85/95/105/125/Unlimited)
  • Fundraising continues – next fundraiser Krispy Kreme.
  • Wilson Ennis has given HYC permission to use their location for fundraisers as well as registration.
  • New Commissioners in office should HYC revisit home field situation – HYC Board to address and invite commissioners to the next meeting.
