2020 FOOTBALL & CHEER SEASON
For Ages 4 - 14

Registration is open to all Calvert county and non-county residents.

Please be sure to read all the information below before starting the registration process.

Due to recent events involving COVID-19, HYC will proceed with the 2020 football/cheer season in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the State of Maryland, SMYAC and CCPR. Player health and safety will be our number one priority and we will provide updates to our website and Facebook pages as they become available.


A registration must be completed for each child that wishes to participate.  HYC's main form of communication is via email and we ask that you please be sure to enter a valid e-mail address when completing your registration.

Registration Fees Tackle Football and Cheer $85


With the exception of Flag participants, in addition to the registration fee, there is a mandatory/non-refundable club raffle fundraising fee of $50 per child that will be added to your total at the time of registration ($65 per family when registering 3 or more family members). Flag registration is free with no $50 fundraiser fee.


Fundraising Raffle tickets will be distributed to each child or family before Homecoming.  You may choose to sell your tickets to recoup your fundraising fee or you may choose to keep the tickets for yourself for a chance to win one of the many prizes at homecoming. If flag players choose, they may purchase raffle tickets when they are distributed to other members prior to Homecoming.

Additional Fees at time of registration ~
Flag Football Uniform REQUIRED $30 (jersey). Canes socks are optional ($10)
Tackle Football Uniform REQUIRED:$65 (jersey + game pants). Canes socks are optional ($10)

The registration fees for Tackle Football include: shoulder pads, helmet, and pant pads.

ALL equipment MUST be returned to the club at the end of the season. A $200 fee will be assessed if player's equipment is not returned.

 

PAYMENT

Due to recent events involving COVID-19, payment is not required at this time.  You will be  prompted to pay your balance once you submit this registration form (you can ignore this automated promt). You are not required or expected to pay your balance now.  Payments will only be collected after a season is confirmed.  Any registration fees paid will be refunded should the season be cancelled.

 

SMYAC Regulations / Requirements for 2020 Football

The Southern Maryland Youth Athletic Conference (SMYAC) is unlimited weights at all ages. Football players will play based on their age and there will be no weight restrictions.

ALL tackle football players are required to have a Maryland issued ID card in order to play. The Maryland ID cards may be obtained from the DMV or any DMV satellite office that issues driver's licenses. In order to get the Maryland ID card, you'll need to bring your child's birth certificate and social security card, along with your driver's license. The cost of the ID card is $15.00 and is good for 5 years. ID Cards are mailed, so please do not wait until the last minute (2 weeks is the typical turnaround time). ID cards are not required at the time of registration, but will be required for every game. Valid Passports or Military IDs will also suffice. 


Football Players must provide ~
Each tackle player must have practice pants (GAME PANTS NOT TO BE WORN DURING PRACTICE), practice jersey, cleats, athletic cup and mouth piece.
Each flag player must have cleats and athletic cup.

 

Requirements for 2020 Cheer
Registration fee for Cheerleading include (Uniform and 1 Hair Bow)

Flag Cheerleading FREE Registration 2018 (Bow not included, must purchase $15)


All cheer uniforms MUST be returned to the club at the end of the season.  A $200 fee will be assessed if uniforms are not returned.

Registering your child on a team, does not guarantee their place on that team. The Cheer Commissioners and Head Coaches will make team assignments based on age, cheer skills, maturity, and balance across the teams.  You will be notified by email of your team assignment and coach.


Cheerleaders must provide ~
Shoes - (mandatory for all squads except Flag, not provided by club)
Poms - (mandatory for ALL squads)
Crop Tops - (mandatory for all squads except Flag)

Kick Pants - (mandatory for ALL squads)

        Socks (white ankle socks, not provided by club)

All the below items can be ordered at the time of registration.

Hair Bow - $15.00 (mandatory for all squads, included in registration except Flag)
Kick pants - $7 (mandatory for all squads)
Poms - $20 (mandatory for ALL squads)
Black Crop Tops - $18 (Crop Top is mandatory for all squads except Flag.  Flag may wear an Black crop top or black turtleneck)

Remember Only Parent, Legal guardians or persons 18 years of age or older can enter information for this program. If you are not at least 18 years old and you wish to register, you will need to have a parent or guardian fill in the following forms to complete your registration.
